Family Compounds for Sale in New Hampshire

New Hampshire offers two distinct compound markets: the Lakes Region centered on Lake Winnipesaukee - one of New England's iconic summer destinations - and the White Mountains, home of world-class hiking, skiing, and the fall foliage tradition.

Lake Winnipesaukee compound properties are among the most coveted in New England. Multi-cottage estates on the lake with private docks, sandy beaches, and water frontage have been family compounds for generations. Inventory is extremely limited; properties rarely come to market more than once per generation.

The White Mountains (Carroll, Grafton, Coos counties) offer mountain compounds at lower prices than lake properties. The region anchors ski resorts (Cannon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Waterville Valley) and some of New England's most dramatic hiking (Mount Washington, Franconia Notch).
